Brown James Buck Memorial Association Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting veterans with gathering spaces, community events, and long-term veteran welfare services since our IRS tax exemption approval in 2016.
Support Our Veterans MissionWe operate as an auxiliary unit of VFW Post 8607 in Chatham, MA. Our core mission is to maintain a welcoming facility for approximately 300 local veterans, host social gatherings, community meals, and veteran support activities year-round.
All board officers serve on a volunteer basis with zero compensation. We employ a small full-time staff to manage daily venue operations, inventory sales, and property maintenance.
Our voting board consists of 3 volunteer members: President, Treasurer & Clerk, Vice President. No family affiliates hold leadership roles, and we maintain no overseas assets or political campaign activities.
We generate operating funds through on-site merchandise sales and rental property income. Charitable donations support veteran programming, facility repairs, and insurance overhead.
We hold no outstanding long-term liabilities and maintain stable net assets to sustain veteran services for decades to come.
Year-round open venue for veterans to socialize, share stories, and build peer support networks. Free access for all registered local veterans.
Regular public dinners, holiday veteran celebrations, and group recreational activities hosted inside our Chatham facility.
Maintenance of our dedicated veterans hall, rental property operations, and low-cost merchandise sales to fund core nonprofit operations.
Direct community aid for local veterans in need, funded by public donations and our organization’s self-generated operating revenue.
All tax documents are public records filed with the Internal Revenue Service. Our organization submits annual Form 990 disclosures as required for all U.S. 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits.
All donations to Brown James Buck Memorial Association Inc are fully tax-deductible under IRS Section 501(c)(3). Your contribution funds veteran facility upkeep, community meals, and veteran support programs.
